VICO Standard Duffel

Duffel bags were a common means of transporting camping gear of all sorts during most of the 20th Century. Ours is a rectangular bottom bag made of sturdy 10 Oz. Cotton Duck. The design is based on one in my collection and reflects duffel bags made before zippers became popular starting in 1928, thus making it authentic for the entire Classic Camping period of 1890-1939.

Dimensions are 6" x 7" on the bottom and 41" long making it useful for the carriage of a wide variety of gear. In the spirit of Bannerman's Camp, it is shown with a typical "Army Surplus" sleep shelter system of the post WW1 period consisting of (2) WPG 1910  Infantry Shelter Halves, (2) WPG 1910 Shelter tent poles, (1) old Army blanket, (1) WPG 1911 Poncho, and tent stakes in one of our stake bags. To show its utility, we also show it with (2) WPG UK Folding Camp Tables (contents shown for illustration of size and are not included).

The Standard Duffel features a side handle and pull handle at the end and comes standard with grommet & cord closure, and are available in your choice of brown or natural canvas.
