USDA Forest Service Pocket First Aid Kit
After the experience of WW1 where the Army realized that soldiers weren't coming into the Service with adequate knowledge of basic First Aid that training was inadequate to compensate for. The Government made an effort to inform the public on basic First Aid, and manufacturers of basic medical products began packaging First Aid Kits aimed at individual consumers rather than wholesale to hospitals and doctors.
This kit was likely not adopted by the USDA for Forest Service use and the Burroughs Company labeling as such was a marketing move. Contents are present, but not 100% complete---somebody must have had a boo boo a hundred years ago.
