6"- 8"Skillet Cover

When I got my skillets from Dave Canterbury's Forge, I went looking for a cover to put them in so that when I put them in my pack after cooking, the other contents didn't get covered with soot.

I was dismayed with what I found: prices were generally over $50 and the covers were made of waxed canvas, which is a great way to store your steel skillet if you want to put it in something that retains moisture inside with it (if your goal is the "hipster wannabe" look, they're great)--and they generally didn't even look authentic. So, I made my own.

These are made of sturdy but lightweight and, more importantly, breathable 5-ounce canvas and are sized for 8" & 6" skillets, whether folding or non-folding handle with herringbone twill ties spaced closely in the center to limit movement of the handle.

Weight= 1.5 ounces.
